These instructions
should enable you to combine SpamPal with the email virus-scanning
features of Grisoft's Free AVG software
Let's begin...

AVG 7.0 (commercial version) makes it simpler for you, you do not need to change your settings when installing and configuring SpamPal.
In fact a third choice has been added for configuring AVG : not only you get User/Computer and Fixed Host, but also a third radio button called "Automatic". By checking this radio button, emails get processed through AVG and through SpamPal without problesm (I use Outlook 2000 as client software).
Hope it will help some other users.
Alexis.

Following on from Alexis Martin's comments, the "Automatic" button works on the free version as well as the commercial version. Well, it seems to be working OK for me anyway...

Above advice is good, to reinforce, to install SPAMPAL easily for multiple users in XP environment, with AVG 7 free.
Have email working with AVG 7 free version, before installing SPAMPAL. Install SPAMPAL last of all, after everything else is working okay.
NB Specify mail servers URLS in your firewall as TRUSTED sites, to speed up mail collection and sending.
Install SPAMPAL last of all, for each XP user. SPAMPAL will note AVG presence, and appears to 'slot in' between AVG and email program.
If SPAMPAL not working, re-install SPAMPAL, logged on as the user with error.
Worked for me. Hope that helps.
